It's Been a Fun Week so Far!

BIG week!

My Mom decided to come out to see us speak in church last weekend so she hit the road with her BFF Carole (Who is from Utah but was in So Cal with her kids and grand kids playing). Those 2 really know how to party. They stopped at State Line and shopped and played with their friend in St George. But finally she made it-

just in time to chase all the warm weather away.

Dear Utah,
We get it.
You are capable of snowing in Spring.
Please stop.
-Chandra

We were so anxious to have Nanny come to see us!

(This was a cute Easter gift from Grammy)

We made special cookies for her...

And got hair cuts.

Tanner took us to the BYU Barber Shop. We walked around campus a little bit and got ice cream. I'm so in love with the fact that Tanner goes to BYU!

AFTER!
(I know, it's like I can't take enough pictures of my son...)

Father son bonding moment at Costco

Parker even decided to shave!

It was a little too cold at the park so we ix-nayed that real quick.

THEN SHE CAME!!!!!

She came with me to pick Parker up from school
All the kids ran up to her and started telling her their whole life stories (the way only a 2 year old could.) It was so cute! It was like they all knew she was a special Grandma lady. :-)

(Some kids even picked their nose for her! Awww, sweet!)

Then she took us out to eat at Spaghetti Factory! I get the bad mom of the year award for telling Parker that there was a witch in the light next to our table so that he would stop trying to put his food in it and sit still and behave!

Yummy?

Parker loves Nanny

We flew kites...

And played around.... good thing, too, because since then it's been snowing... Boo.

So the most glorious day of all was the day Tanner and I spoke in church! I quite like speaking in church and so I was kind of looking forward to it. AND, we were pleasantly surprised when Tanner's mom came pulling up along side us on our little walk to church that morning! She'd driven all the way down from Blackfoot, ID to hear us speak and spend some time with us.

Ummmm, could Parker have been MORE thrilled to have BOTH grandma's ALL to himself?

I submit that he COULD NOT!

Joyful child much?

After church Tanner made us the best brunch in the universe. He made us crepes with fresh strawberries and homemade maple syrup.

It.
Was.
Good.

Kim stayed and ate and talked with us. It was heaven. OH! And by the way our talks went great! Since we are new I told them a little bit about ourselves and then I spoke about Easter. When I was done the gospel doctrine teacher asked me to reiterate some of my points to his class. We also got a knock on our door a few days later from a couple in the ward bringing us homemade bread in exchange for a copy of my talk. :-)
My primary Easter singing time was really fun too. I just love Easter and remembering the Resurrection.

I DID make my mom and mom in law come up as we sang the "Hello" song. :-) I dont know if they wanted to but OHHHH WELL!!!

Crepe man

Kim had to drive back to Blackfoot and we were all very sad about that but then my BROTHER and his wife and little daughter came over! They decided they'd better get up here and have a snowboarding weekend before the snow all melts away so they stayed in Sundance at the Cottage but came over for dinner on Sunday. We made them deer roast that Tanner's cousin brought us (you know, like from hunting) and I knew my brother would freak out if he knew he was eating deer so we waited until after to tell him. Good news is, he liked it! :-)

Lil Baby Kim is the cutest thing in the whole wide world. I mean LOOK at this face? She isn't even mad, she just pulls all kinds of faces! And she does NOT stop talking! She speaks English and Spanish since my brother and his wife both speak Spanish (Laura is from Argentina) so Kim must be speaking Spanglish because no one can understand a word she's saying! But she has the cutest little voice and pretty much laughs at EVERYTHING. She's a doll!

~Cousin fun~

Ohhhhhh man, Parker could not wait to go back to Chuck ARAMA! I know what you're thinking but, come on, it's like a childs dream come true! Especially a picky eater like MY son! He could not stop talking about, "Yo's" (Onion rings) "and jello and cupcakes and french fries and chicken and ice cream..." He thinks it's the coolest thing that you can pick whatever you want to eat. Thanks Nanny!!!

So, I guess that's it for now. It's been a super fun week with my mom. She's been spoiling me with shopping and lunches and dinners out! She came into my office and I scanned her and Carole for venous insufficiency but they both have the healthiest legs I've ever seen. Jon, my super awesomely amazing PA, did some sclerotherapy treatments on their spider veins which they thought was pretty dang cool.

I almost fainted on my boss' floor one morning- low blood sugar?

But seriously, I love my job.

This weekend is going to be quite amazing too. Stay tuned!
