Soccer Star!

Parker started soccer this year! He made the age deadline by 4 days so he's one of the youngest players out there but he LOVES it. He's non stop smiles when he's playing.  Since we live in a small town there are a wide age range and ability of kids playing on the same team. Some of Parker's team mates are amazingly good! Parker is doing great and toughing up. He's not fond of getting balls kicked to his chest, face, or getting kicked in the knees or pushed or tripped. But who is???

There's a kid on his team, who happens to be the coach's son, who is really hyper and insane. He's picked on Parker quite a bit and even got him in a choker hold and shoved him to the ground during warm ups. Even though he's a 1st grader they interact at school on the playground as well and I've had to work closely with Parker's teacher to make sure the bullying stops. The kid is only 6 but there's no way I'm going to let my little Bug A Boo feel threatened or scared about playing sports or going to school. Being a parents is HARD!!!

In the meantime we just remind Parker that he's our super star and that we love him sooooo much!

Parker's team, Orange (not sure if they ever picked a team name) was undefeated this season! Way to go!

Such a good little team mate.

Goal!

Parker LOVES when his coach tells him what position he'll be playing. We often hear him say when he's on he field, "Where is offense?" or things like that. He tries to hard to do the right thing and follow his coach's instructions.

2 Parkers on the same team--- made yelling from the sidelines pretty confusing for these kids!

This kid, Micah, is super talented!

Owen, the bully, sitting the bench for being... ya know, a punk.

Owen tripped this kid and a mini dog pile occurred. It's true that these kids run after the ball in a cluster!

"You're on the same team!!!"

Parker loves playing sports and we're happy to cheer him on! Way to go Parker!!!
