Chandra's 32nd Birthday
My birth week started out with a beautiful rainbow! Actually, that evening was quite chaotic. But at end of the day I looked out the window and saw this breathtaking site. It was like Heavenly Father was saying, "I know you are trying your best. You are doing enough. I'm proud. Good times are ahead!" Ray loved looking at the pretty colors. Her verbal skills are really coming along and she is talking up a storm! She was telling me all of the colors of the rainbow.
Tanner was at the Clipper's game. Rough life. Maybe someday he'll be home for dinner. I literally cannot remember the last time he was home for dinner on a week night!
On Tuesday I met my Mom and Cami at the Spectrum for a little birthday lunch date! My mom treated us to a Merry Go Round ride! The kids loved it! But it was a little difficult to get a decent selfie... ha ha
We meandered on down to the Cheesecake Factory and when we were half way there Ray decided to hide in the bushes.. silly girl!
Lunch was super delicious but man, taking these babies out during nap time only to make them sit at a nice restaurant was not one of my brighter ideas. They were... terrible. It was pretty embarrassing. But I know these days will soon pass and I'll shake my head with humor in a few years.
The next day Parker had his Jog-a-Thon at school! Can you believe they wouldn't let me into the school with the babies???? No siblings allowed apparently. I guess when they school has 1,300 students you don't want any extra kids running around. It made me kinda mad though. I found a nice little place on the wrong side of the fence and yelled and waved to him each time he ran by. He kept bringing his friends over to meet the babies. He's so proud of his role as big brother!
All this rain has created some pretty crazy skies!
Wednesday night Tanner was able to take Parker to the Angel's game. Parker was super stoked when Mike Trout tossed him a ball! Apparently they had good seats! It's so great that Tanner and Parker can do so many awesome activities together!
The NEXT night (Thursday) was Parker's Pinewood Derby. I had my fingers crossed that his car would do well and that he'd win at least 1 race. Well, his car was undefeated!!!! He was so excited! And I was so proud. And Tanner was so happy that all his hard work paid off!
Cutest little bum reading books I ever did see!
She won't leave my side while I get ready each day. I usually have to shower with one or both babies. And when I'm getting ready Ray will climb up onto the sink and play around with all my perfumes and make up. I had her try to sit still so I could apply some lipgloss on her. She was so happy!
I told Tanner that all I wanted for my birthday was a Disney date with him. So we got a babysitter and he came home early! He took me to dinner inside CA Adventure at this little Mexican place and then we got Ghiridelli ice cream sundaes for dessert. We were able to ride Soaring Over California and watch part of World of Color. We then walked over to Disneyland and caught some of the fireworks and went on a few rides. I loved being able to hold hands and talk while we stood in line.
Our babysitter was completely OUT when we got home. She looked like Sleeping Beauty.
My actual birthday fell on a Saturday but ironically I didn't really make any plans! We hung out around the house in the morning and let the babies take their naps. Tanner made me a yummy breakfast and let me take all the time I needed to get ready. Then we went to my Mom's and she watched the kids while we got massages. Cami took the kids in the evening so we could go to dinner and do a little shopping at the Shops. It was a great day! I loved all the phone calls, texts, messages, and cards I received! Birthdays always make me feel so special! Random people at the mall told me I was pretty and had beautiful hair and one lady even said I had great feet! I guess I was glowing or something. ha ha Whatever the reason, I certainly don't tire of hearing compliments! We went back to my Mom's for cake and ice cream! She had the house all decorated for my birthday with all these sweet baby pictures and signs. She got another Nothing Bunt Cake because the last one was sooooo good! She's just the best and I owe everything good that I am to my parents. They truly are remarkable and I love them so much.
I sent this one to Shelley. This was on the 4th of July 1984 at my Aunt Jane's house.
Muzzle and I
Cami looks so cute! I could totally wear that outfit today! This was my blessing day.
Cami sent me the sweetest text: "You are such a wonderful JOY in our lives!! You are so full of love, fun, warmth, kindness, energy, determination, and beauty!! I admire and love you so much and am sooooooo thankful you are my sister forever! I remember when you were born!! We would hold you and Josi on both hips!! You loved your silky blanket!! You and Josi were 'the babies' and went everywhere with us. Beach days at Three Arch Bay!! Playing on Modoc! Such memories!!!"
I was a cute baby! I need to try for a brown haired girl!
Josi and I are 17 months apart and Jon was about the same age as Parker is now.
32 feels pretty darn good. I never knew life could be this amazing. I am one lucky lady!
