Feeling Better and Tanner's 37th Birthday!
We were finally feeling well enough to meet the family at the park on Saturday morning for Jessi's birthday party. We left the kids with my mom and cruised on over to Robyn's house to load up a rental with furniture! She is moving to the beach and was getting rid of a TON of stuff which we were happy to take off her hands! Robyn is the most generous person I know and I'm so thankful for all of this gorgeous furniture! Jon helped us load and Paul and Scott came over and helped Tanner unload. I've had SO much fun decorating!
We were finally able to go back to church and cute Rayleigh wanted to pose. She always loves how fancy she looks on Sunday.
Tanner's birthday fell on a random Tuesday but I tried my best to make it special for him. His work surprised him with a decorated office and a lunch party. They gave him cards and gifts and I know he was touched. They sent him home early and we were able to "spoil" him with hand made cards, a candy poster, chocolate covered strawberries, and a yummy dinner together. We even baked him a lemon cake although mine never can compare to Muzzie's. I always seem to screw up his birthday so this year I specifically asked what he wanted. He was vague with his response but I think we pulled off the low key kind of birthday he wanted. We sat in the hot tub and tried our best to show him how much he means to us and I think he was happy with it all.
While I was busy fussing over Tanner's birthday, Rayleigh took scissors in the backyard and gave herself some nice layers in her hair. She snipped the front off Ella's too. I hope she has now learned her lesson. I did not yell at her but I think she knew I was upset. She showed all kinds of remorse. But man, she sure beats to her own drum!
We had a "glock-a-moly" party in the backyard one day and its now my favorite thing ever!
I love these kids more than anything and I'm so happy we could celebrate Tanner! Hurray for feeling better!
