Memorial Day

It’s nice having Tanner around! I come home from work every day to a clean house and laundry done. And pretty often he makes dinner which is the best. He took Jack to his soccer party and even though they lost almost every game, Jack had a good time.

When the kids had early out, we took them to the Sender City and then watched the sunset at Aliso. The kids just wanted to play and it was a beautiful evening. They were filming something at the Montage so Aliso was full of production vans and craft services which was kinda cool.
Saturday was super fun! We took the kids to Sender City again because our lunch passes are about to expire. They had a blast! After that, we stopped at my parent’s house for a little visit and then we went to South Coast Plaza for a late lunch at Din Tai Fung. We had to wait for about an hour so we walked around the mall. Jack loved the super car stores and the girls did make up in the luxury brand stores. Our food was delicious and now we are all salivating to go back. The kids were so good at dinner and it was a nice meal together.
We then walked over to the Segerstrom and watched Ray’s new choir teacher, Mr. Sandoval, sing with the Pacific Chorale! It was NOT MCO and Jack struggled in the beginning to stay still and quiet. Luckily we sat in the back. The music was beautiful but very quiet. After intermission, he settled into it a little bit and the kids loved seeing Mr. Sandoval after the show. We are so thankful for amazing teachers and for these incredible opportunities we have in SoCal!
Memorial Day was SO fun! We took the kids to Sender One for their last climb and they did amazingly! It made me excited to take them somewhere cool like Moab where they can climb and repel. Ray especially loves rock climbing and hiking and all kinds of extreme sports and I love that about her. After climbing we stopped by Baskin Robbin’s for ice cream and to get my dad some chocolate chip for his birthday because… my mom planned a fun BBQ at their house to celebrate my dad’s birthday! We had burgers and salad and I made some street corn salad which was yummy! Kari and Savi came over and Cami and her family and Jon’s family too! We missed Jessi, Kimmie and Kaela who were out with friends at the beach (teenagers!) but we had the best time with family and celebrating my rad dad’s birthday! And lucky for Parker that we were all together on a Monday because he was able to stay on the phone all day and talk to everyone! He chatted with Ben for hours.
There really is nothing better than spending time with family and I’m so grateful we live so close to be able to spend so much time with them. I wish it was more! Maybe someday we can move to OC. I’m gonna keep manifesting!
