Catch Up

We have been laying low here for the past few weeks. I keep waking up thinking it's going to be fall but then I walk outside and realize it's still summer. I know it's wrong of me to say it but I'm over the sunshine and I'd like a little rain! Tanner went out of town last weekend to work as a production assistant for my brother in law as they made a documentary on the 50 mile M.S. Walk in San Diego. While he was gone I found Parker's Halloween costume...

But he's not that into it...

All this week Tanner has been busy at home with some big projects so he let me take off with my family on Friday night (while Parker was asleep...) and go to dinner and a movie! Thanks Hun! Saturday my mom and I made homemade strawberry jam! All of our crafty Utah friends have been canning and we felt like we needed to keep up. No we didn't GROW our OWN strawberries but they are, in fact, from the farmers market.... so that counts right? The jam turned out sooooo delicious!!!

(We have really high counter tops...)

Tanner took a break from his work to have some slip and slide fun with me and Parker. It was sooooo hot outside but this Diego Slip and Slide was the perfect thing to cool us all off.

Also, when Parker was napping on Saturday Tanner stayed home and I went to Ikea with my mom! (I LOVE Ikea) We got lunch (of course) and strolled around. Only I didn't have to push a stroller! It was fabulous. I picked up these finger pupets and decided they would be much more fun for Parker if they had magnents on the back and he had a little dry erase board (or fridge) to stick them all over. This little home made treasure allowed me to sleep in for 20 extra minutes this morning. He loved it! :-)

Oh! And another project I've been doing lately is cutting out itty bitty ties, sewing them around the edges, and then ironing them onto little onsies for all my friends having baby boys! I have always made baby bracelets for the little ladies being born but I never knew what to do for a boy. I saw this idea in a baby boutique and it's really easy, cheap, and fun!

I want to get in on that slip n' slide action! Parker is so cute ("Pawkers turn"). Those are such cute onesies and the jam looks delectable!
I hope everything will pan out smoothly for you guys so you can get up here, Travis is keeping his eyes out for jobs. Let us know if we can do anything to help!
