Idaho Falls Air Show
Last weekend was Pioneer Day here in Utah which means we got the day off of work and school! Woo hoo! We drove up to Idaho and spent the weekend with Tanner's parents. They were trekin' when we got there so we had the whole place to ourselves that first night. We cuddled up in some blankets and laid out on the trampoline and watched the stars come out. It's been a looooong time since I've done that! It was nice to slow down for a few hours and just be entertained by the sky. :-)
The next day we went to the Idaho Falls Airshow. If anyone knows Tanner they know that he is mildly obsessed with airplanes. It's hard to believe that over the 7 years since we've known each other I've never been to an airshow with him! Yet, he's been to countless airplane events. We took Parker and were amazed to see over 30,000 people in attendance there at the Idaho Falls airport! It was super hot so Tanner went to grab us some food from a vendor only to find out, after standing in line for over an hour, that they didn't accept debit cards. He was furious and wanted to leave but I had some cash and everything ended up being ok. While he was out getting us some much needed refreshment Parker was melting down. He so needed a nap and the super loud airplanes weren't helping him to relax. He was crying and I felt like I was gonna puke. Then, this man approached us and told me he was from the Pocatello newspaper and said that he had taken some pictures of Parker and me and wanted to know if I'd sign a release in case they decide to print them. Ummmm, I can only imagine what the headline would say, "Woman and 2 year old suffering in the Idaho heat, bored out of their minds at the airshow." No, actually, it was really fun. :-)
(Taken while Tanner was hunting us down some food and drink- Parker needed a nap waaaay bad)
FINALLY!!!! Yet, even unconscience he would not take his hands off his ears.
Super Cool
That night we went to Rupes (Tanner's little high school hangout place... kind of like the Max from Saved by the Bell... It was SUPER YUMMY!
