Punkin' Patch Season and My Best Friend's Wedding

Pumpkin Patch Season is upon us. And we plan to take full advantage of all Utah Patches have to offer. Since Tanner is gone most of the time (he really only uses our house for sleeping...) I have been going on dates with Parker. Our dates take place mostly in the morning (not evenings) and we don't see movies or go to nice restaurants, we go Patch hunting!

This last week at work was.... less than desirable. Ok, it was a bad week. I still love my job but it was just.... weird. And I had an early morning meeting which was not the most fun and a late night health fair in Heber... and it rained and thundered and lightening the whole way up the canyon. SCARY!

But we DID get to do some fun things.

On Wednesday, we met Nicole and Kassidy and the little girls at Gardner Village. They have it all decorated for Halloween with witches everywhere you look- which was so cool!

My date. :-)
See the Wicked Witch of the West?

We got there a few minutes before my sisters and the wind was starting to blow and the rain started to sprinkle (Fall is definitely here!) so we found refuge and sustenance in a cute little bakery. We picked out a cookie and some milk and enjoyed the weather through the window.

Parker was so excited to see Kaydence and share a special candy corn lollipop with her. :-)

The kids had so much fun exploring and checking out the ducks.

Sweet girl!

We walked through this adorable Christmas Shop and it totally made me excited for the holidays!!! Parker was enthralled with all the Christmas Villages. I must admit, I love them too!

The kids were a little pooped after all the window shopping. :-)

We tried to check out the petting zoo but it was closed due to the weather so we stopped by the restaurant and had a yummy dinner!!!

The kiddos played under the table.... they love each other!
It was a super fun day and a good kick off to Pumpkin Patch Season!

Friday was picture day at Parker's school! Here he is practicing his picture smile. :-)

That night Parker was my date to Liz's open house. Liz was such a beautiful bride and I'm so happy for her!!!!

Parker thinks he's soooo tough.
But, then I caught him mid dance move! Gotcha!!!!

Saturday morning I took Parker to the patch by our house in Vineyard! His teacher told me about it and I'm so glad we discovered it! It was soooo fun! We got there early so no one was there. We had the place to ourselves for a while! (And check out those pumpkin prices! Pretty cheap, huh?)

There was a fun playground...

And a spooky hall of mirrors...

And a Hay House (From the 3 little pigs!)

This was when the train went by. I thought Parker would be thrilled.... not so much.
Notice all the animals, too! :-)

Boo!

He LOVED the bounce houses... all up until a HUGE black spider was walking across the ground... EWwwww! DEAL BREAKER!!!

We cruised the pumpkin patch...

(Parker making a scary witch face.... but all you can see is the "spooky eyes"!)

We got lost in the corn maze.....

(I told Parker to make a face like Daddy... lol)

This Pumpkin Patch was amazing! We were there for over 3 hours. We picked out the perfect pumpkins. And it was only $4!!! Hurray for Halloween!!!

Saturday afternoon we went to Draper to attend Liz and Michael's sealing. That temple is exquisite! It was VERY NICE being able to spend some time with my husband and at the temple, no less. It was a beautiful wedding and I felt honored to be there.

Liz was my roommate my very first semester at school up in Rexburg, ID. We were best friends from day one. Tina was also one of our roommates and we've all been friends ever since those BYU-I days! :-) Tina and I took so many pictures! :-)

Liz had a very clean, elegant wedding dinner. She opted out of a huge, gaudy reception. It was at Ruth's Chris Steak House at the Hotel Park City. It was unbelievable! The evening was so intimate and romantic and the love for this couple was over powering. What a wonderful night.

Tanner was beyond excited to get his steak! The food was sooooo delicious! It was a great night- the best part being able to spend a few wonderful hours with my husband!!!

Sunday I told Tanner I just needed to relax!!! So after church that's what we did and it was amazing! PJ's were on! Tanner made lunch AND dinner! My boys each slept for 3 hours while I read and talked to Ange. When they woke up we went to the park and played until the sun went down. Then we came home and watched a movie together. Perfect. I love my boys!!!!
