Lock Haven
Tanner had to volunteer at a PA program sponsored 5K race in Lock Haven in early April. He took a bunch of photos and did a phenomenal job, as usual. We were able to stay at the Marriott in town and Tanner got a great deal on a suite! Parker was soooo excited. He loves to stay in hotels.
He was all confused and thought we were there for Tanner's white coat ceremony (which is next month) because we are hitting the road for California right after the white coat ceremony (at least that's the plan as of right now).
But we had a blast anyway and enjoyed this special time together as a family.
Lock Haven is only about an hour and 45 minutes from Coudersport and it's a beautiful little town.
Parker's "room" in the suite.
Yay for hotels!
Sporting my Lock Haven sweatshirt- per the usual.
Parker was super stoked to go swimming the night we arrived. There were a ton of kids there playing around and Parker loved it!
Tanner was the best Dad ever and played in the pool and spa with Parker while I sat and watched. The pool was crowded with kids and the hot tub was too hot for me and my tiny daughter. But, we had fun anyway!
Love my boys!
Tanner had to leave bright and early the next morning for the race so Parker and I slept in and watched cartoons and then enjoyed a long, leisurely breakfast at the hotel's buffet.
Then it was back to the pool for a couple hours until Tanner came back from the race. We had the pool ALL to ourselves which was awesome and Parker did so well swimming! We are so ready for summer!
After we checked out we met Austin for a little Lock Haven favorite- ice cream and soft pretzels from the Mennonite's! I told Tanner it's gonna be bad when we are far away from these delicious foods you can only get at some of these East Coast small towns and I'm craving them later on in this pregnancy! I'm drooling for soft pretzels as we speak! ;-) We gabbed sandwiches on our way out from a local pizza hangout and then made the drive home along the Susquehanna river. It was a very quick trip but so fun and a nice break from boring Coudersport! And that's a Faaaaaaaacttttt!
