Rayleigh is 8 Months Old!

Rayleigh Kae is 8 months old!!!!
Where has the time gone? I remember a sweet neighbor coming over when we first moved here and her son was 7 months old and I looked at her and thought, "Wow! Look how big your baby is!" And now mine is a whole 8 months old! She's my pretty princess and my favorite thing in the world.
She started crawling a couple of weeks ago but still has no teeth. She likes to chew on everything and anyone's fingers. She smiles and laughs (mostly for Parker) and loves "Let It Go" from Frozen. She lights up when we sing it to her. She still loves music and will try and make sounds with different objects (like banging the cup against the tub). She ups her volume when we are talking or when I'm on the phone (another favorite of hers) and she can say Dada, Nana, hair, and a few other random sounds. Yes, she loves hair. It's totally ironic since she doesn't have any herself. Everyone stops and says how cute she is (why wouldn't they?) It's funny how little girls are so drawn to babies. They won't leave her alone at the pool. But she likes the attention and watches them with grace like, "Oh you poor insolent subjects. Please grovel at my feet". Her sleeping schedule is non existent but she's a really good sleeper and a very good natured girl. She takes naps in her swing still and goes to bed every night after I rock her and feed her. I can lay her down in her crib and she snuggles right down. Sadly, I'm not nursing anymore but she loves food now so it was an easy transition for everyone involved. She only wakes up once in the early morning. I hand her some milk and she sleeps until about 8:30. I know, we are spoiled. She's like me and loves to sleep in! She goes to bed around 7 and takes about 1 good nap a day but sometimes 2. She is obsessed with the vacuum and squeals with joy when we bust it out. She loves the water (pool, beach, tub) and LOVES her brother. She is amazing and will respond to me when I ask her questions. I know, she is brilliant. She's got a funny scoot/crawl with one leg always tucked up under her. I have a feeling it won't be long until she walks. :-( I am excited to spend the summer with her and her brother just playing and having fun. In the fall it will be just her and me all day while Parker is at school and I'm looking forward to that special time for us to bond and make memories together. I love her more than life itself and can't imagine anything more precious in the world. She completes me and makes me smile every single day. I love you Princess!
