Club 33

Ever since I heard about the exclusive restaurant experience called Club 33 right in the center of Disneyland, I've wanted to go! You have to be on a very short list, be invited by a high powered member who pays tens of thousands of dollars a year just to be a member, and make you reservation a month in advance. Not to mention the dinner is $120! It was probably not the most prudent activity to embark on while Tanner was not working but it was once in a lifetime and sooooo neat!

We had Audrey watch Parker, Rayleigh and Jack, and went to Disneyland around 2pm. When we got there, we heard a familiar voice and realized it was Idina Menzel singing Christmas songs in from of the castle for the ABC Christmas special! Ryan Seacrest was hosting and it was totally awesome to stumble upon! We grabbed some Mickey beignets and watched the holiday parade before meeting up with our friends. We met Jill and Paul and rode the Haunted Mansion with them, the only ride we went on! Then we went to the super secretive door bell at Club 33 and were let in.

WOW! So incredible! We felt so special! We were treated like dear old friends. We were invited into the Court of Angels to sip fancy juice, freshen up, take pictures, and wait for our other friends to arrive. Courtney and Robby were running a little late. Ella was absolute perfection the entire night. She didn't make a peep and was so sweet! She is seriously the best!

We enjoyed a leisurely and luxurious 5 course meal with decadent options in a relaxed, glowing ambiance. My favorite were the Mickey Mouse drinks (Shirley Temple) and savory crepe. And the tiny scoop of raspberry sorbet to cleanse our pallets in between the 3rd and 4th course. (pumpkin gnocchi and duck) We chatted and laughed and so enjoyed each other's company. What a blessing to have such stellar friends who lift us up and sustain us in our challenging times and seasons. I love that we all get along so well and love being together. These friends are a treasure. The bathroom is gorgeous and there is a beautiful painting above the ornate changing table of a mother nursing her baby. I tell you what, it really touched my heart as I was in there with Ella. Disneyland is for families. It's for making life long memories for kids and parents to share. The art work and details in the bathroom were breathtaking. Any amenity you'd need available, beautiful blue stained glass light fixtures, golden ornate toilet paper holders, gorgeous sinks, a stunning sitting area for powering one's nose or resting on the chaise lounge. It was amazing. 

After my delicious pear tart for dessert, we stayed and watched the fireworks from the balcony. I had a special moment with Ella while I was watching the brilliant light show, listening to the timeless meaningful Christmas music, and snuggling her close. Disneyland truly is a magical place filled with so much happiness. Each time I've been there, I've truly felt those moments of pure magic. We were escorted out of the park because we shut the place down! We were able to experience Disneyland without all the crowds which is amazing. Parker and I got to witness the empty streets when we attended the KOST 103.5 Holiday Kick Off Party. But no one else had ever seen Disneyland like that! It's really something special. 

As Tanner and I were walking out, we saw a shooting star. When you wish upon a star your dreams really do come true. How fortunate are we to live this beautiful life. We are truly thankful and acknowledge continuously how abundantly blessed we are. Experience Club 33 while I was 33 years old is something I hope I never forget!
