Valentine's 2020

For Christmas, I bought Tanner tickets for us to go to Disneyland for their Disney After Dark Sweethearts Nite! I was so excited and Tanner was ok with it. I asked my mom to come over and spend the night but she got super sick and couldn't make it at the last minute so we just left Parker in charge and he did a great job. No problem!

We left around 4pm and got to the park early and were first in line. We headed to Star Wars Land so I could show Tanner what it was all about and we went on the new ride! We split my favorite pasta from Pizza Port as an appetizer and then had a gourmet 3 course meal at Cafe Orleans that was special just for Sweethearts Nite. It was sooo yummy and the service was superb! We talked and were finally able to spend some quality time together. There was a beautiful and romantic "LOVE" themed fireworks show which was awesome! And we took a lots of fun picture with our free photo pass. We rode all of the big rides and enjoyed a not-so-crowded late nite at Disneyland. Thanks Tanner, for indulging me! I love you MORE than Disneyland so you know that's a lot!

We've been listening to love songs and when Whitney Huston's "I Will Always Love You" came on, Jack asked, "Is this the song Daddy wrote for you when you got married?" Jack is hilarious and I love him.

Thursday I had to dress Rayleigh up like a 100 year old for "100 Day of School" Day. Give. Me. A Break! Luckily Angel had some good ideas for me and Rayleigh is adorable always. I was understandably tired on Thursday due to the fact that Tanner and I didn't even get home from Disney until 2am. But Jack had a Valentine's Day party at school and Parker had MCO. We had dinner at my parents house WITH them because the temple is closed right now. They are the best and always make me feel so loved.

Friday was Valentines Day and I had to send Rayleigh to school with cards for her teacher and friends and then I, for some stupid reason, volunteered myself to host a party at the park with Haley. I was super late and pretty unprepared but I was glad I went and it was nice to mingle with the young moms from the ward that I don't spend as much time with.

I told Tanner that all I wanted for Valentine's Day was for him to bring me some Indian Food for dinner and have us watch shows together. So he did and it was nice! We put towels on our bed and tried to have a little picnic together while the kids had dinner downstairs but they sabotaged us (they love us so much- they are like obsessed with us... ha) so we ate all together, got them to bed, and THEN had some nice quiet time together. We do what we can! And I'm just keeping it real over here on the old blog!

I love any excuse to celebrate LOVE! Happy Valentine's Day! Glad I wasn't deathly ill this year.
