Meet Winston the Cat
Ray has been obsessing over cats for months and has complied multiple lists and done hours of research in an attempt to persuade us to let her have one. Well, the stars aligned and on the very last day of her volunteering service at the animal shelter, they started a 2 week campaign to clear the shelves and were offering free pet adoptions. It also happened to be 2 days before her birthday so we decided it was the perfect time to give in to her pure and innocent desires to be get a cat. You only get 1 childhood and I'm determined to give my children the best childhood imaginable.
While she was giving service reading to animals and watching a spay/neuter surgery, Jack, Ella, and I socialized with several kittens and ultimately found the perfect cat. When Rayleigh was done and available, we showed her all of the cats again and she agreed that Winston was THE ONE. He was sitting inside the cage waiting for us with that cute little black button on his nose saying, "Please choose me!"
We signed all of the papers and took him home that day with food and litter ordered and on its way. I had to jet off to bookclub at my mom's but the kids did a great job getting Winston all settled and he cuddled up with Jack to go to sleep.
The thing I love most about Winston is that he goes potty in a litter box, doesn't bark, and is very snuggly.
Welcome to the family, Winston. You are already to loved!
