Magical Weekend with Liz
I have been looking forward to this weekend with Liz for so long. I had a trip planned a few months ago but unfortunately, sweet Carole passed away and I spent the weekend with my parents honoring her.
So, I flew out of John Wayne on Allegiant on Friday evening. I talked to Parker on the phone for about an hour before I got out of my car thinking I’d have plenty of time. He was telling me about his plans to stop working on Halloween and that would give him a week to prepare for his mission. Tanner was voicing his opinions (or rather, making it known that he would probably have opinions). Parker was very thoughtful about his decision and is actually loving his job and feels a lot of respect there and pride in what he does… so it was a difficult decision.
Anyhoo, I was expecting to have TSA Pre check but the third party I used to book my flight didn’t add it in! So I had to wait in a huge long line to add it at the ticket counter to avoid the even huger, longer line at security. It all worked out and I got my famous star from Carl’s to eat on the plane and all was well. (I was really looking forward to sitting for an hour, eating a yummy dinner, and doing business on my phone).
I landed early in Provo and Liz was right there waiting for me. Oh! It was so good to see her! We were both pooped because it was about 11pm but she took such good care of me and made sure I was all nice and comfy for bed. I slept SO soundly that night and didn’t wake up until like 10am! She made me a yummy breakfast and then we went for a long walk and talked and admired all of the pretty fall colors.
Basically, we just talked the entire time and I LOVED it. I love how nurturing, knowledgeable, and wise Liz is. We went to a fabulous dinner at Communal in downtown Provo and shared a delicious, fancy meal.
When we got back to her place, she showed me all around her treatment room that she used to give massages and facials. She gave me some products to help my skin and let me try out the new acoustic vibration addition on her therapy bed. It was SO cool! We then talked long into the night about everything and anything.
Again, I slept so well and woke up feeling so rested and happy. She made me another yummy breakfast and then it was time to fly home. I love Liz so much and can’t wait for our next weekend together.
I was given some free tickets to Seaworld and we toyed with the idea of going on Sunday afternoon but we were all so wiped out from the busy weekend (Tanner took the kids to all of their games- soccer and lacrosse, and then to the church trunk or treat.) We snuggled up and watched Wednesday and enjoyed a nice quiet sabbath day together.
Life is pretty good and the kids are so excited for Halloween!
