Weekend Adventure in March
I'm feeling pretty good and the weather has been gorgeous. Even cute Tanner suggested we go to the beach which is a rarity so we took the kids on a couple adventures this weekend.
Saturday, Jack and Ella had soccer games and we got a few things done around the house. Ray and Jack both went to friend's houses but in the late afternoon we all gathered together and went to the Redwood Grove in Carbon Canyon State Park. We saw a baby rattlesnake during the short hike and tons of beautiful wild flowers. We talked and laughed and sang on the way there and back and stayed until the sun went down. It was good to get out and enjoy the fresh air and the giant redwoods were a sight to see!
Sunday, I had to teach Sunday School but thankfully, Tanner did all the work for me and let me use his seminary lesson. After church, Tanner surprised us again but ordering us all some McDonald's and taking us to the beach. We tried to go to Salt Creek but it was PACKED so we caved and called our friends at Strands and luckily, Jeremy got us in. It was a gorgeous day and Rayleigh and Ella spent hours looking for seaglass while Tanner and I sat and chat. I also forced him to walk a mile with me which I think he secretly enjoyed because I needed to hold his hand (still healing).
We came home and had chicken n rice and watch a movie together while we ate ice cream. It was a really nice weekend together!
