We Will Miss You San Diego Zoo
Well,
Yesterday I thought, "Ya know, we really need to go to the zoo again before our passes expire." So I got them out and looked at them and low and behold they expired TODAY! I frantically called my sister to see if she would be available to go down to San Diego with me and she WAS! We both left our houses about the same time and were lucky enough not to hit any traffic on the way down. (For all your So Cal people: I was actually able to use my cruise control a few times driving down the 5! Can you believe it?)
It was a beautiful day. I know the rest of the nation was experiencing near snow storms but we were feeling good with a cool breeze blowing in as we trekked across the expansive zoo. Mind you, we still sweat- a lot. My poor sister had 2 kids in the double stroller and one strapped to her. She wins the mother of the year award FOR SURE! The kids were fantastic and we had a great time!
Yay! The Zoo!

Parker's got some tusk action going on...
The elephants were my fav! And the new "Elephant Odyssey" was really, truly awesome!
Ok, are you guys seeing this? Has anyone ever seen this guy at the San Diego Zoo? Look at him! It's a guerrilla of some sort but he looks like flippin' BIG FOOT! This thing was huge! And he had looooong dreaded out hair all over him! He was cruising along the (thankgoodness-it-was-there) glass wall and would stare you right in the eye! Creeeepy.
Then he climbed up this little tree and was, I think, showing off for all the single ladies present.

Good times. Big shout out to my sista! You're the best for coming with me!
Parker slept the whole way home and is currently sound asleep. Lets hope it stays that way for the next 12-14 hours. :-)
