Rayleigh's Fun Run

We had a really neat lunar eclipse the other night. A super blood wolf moon! It was complete at around 9:30pm so we were able to witness the entire event. We sat in the hot tub after dinner and saw the huge full moon before the kids had to go to bed. I love astronomy!

On Monday I got a tube placed in my ear. I hurt! But hopefully this fixed my Eustachian tube problem. My mom watched the kids while I was in my appointment and when I walked in, they were calmly sitting on the couch cuddling with her and reading a book. It was the sweetest scene!

Friday was Rayleigh's Fun Run at school. She got to dress up as a Super Hero and she ran her little heart out! It was so fun being there with her- it was a nice, warm sunny day! She has the BEST teacher! I am so proud of Rayleigh and all the wonderful ways she lets her light shine.

Friday night I got sucked into the journal vortex. I sat down and started reading and just couldn't stop! I read for about 6 hours. I mostly read my junior high and high school journals and wow, what a trip that was! Angel and I were just perfect friends for each other- and we still are! I wrote about how I ran down stairs after church one day and found Lisa with tears in her eyes. She said she was touched while singing the closing hymn, "Come, Follow Me" She was holding Abby and I helped her out to the car, the other kids skipping about and I wrote, "I want so badly to be this young mom with the kids running around, full of love and faith and the spirit." (These were not my exact words...but something like it). I had to tell Lisa so I Marco Poloed her and read her my journal and I just started crying! Becuase here I am! Doing it! I wrote that it was such a simple desire but that it meant SO MUCH. This is my dream life.
