A Week with Kaydence

Monday was President's Day so we gathered as a family at 3 Arch Bay to celebrate Jessi's birthday! It was the only nice day we've had in a while (it's been so cold and rainy!) so we were all happy to be out at the beach. It was fun being there with family and we practically had the beach to ourselves. We left in the early evening to pick up Kaydence from the airport because guess what??? Kaydence came to visit! We have been begging Travis and Nicole to come visit for YEARS and they just refuse. I tried to convince Nicole to come with just the girls but it ended up that what we could talk them into was just sending Kaydence and we were thrilled! We picked her up from John Wayne and took her straight down to the beach. We watched the sunset and had a little bon fire and she hung out with Kimmie and Jessi. She seemed really happy and we were so honored to share this special place with her. After the beach, we took her to Thrifty's and we all got ice cream cones and then we got In n Out for dinner. We were trying to  give her a really authentic California beach day!

The next day, Tanner dropped Parker and Kaydence off at Disneyland and they spend the day wandering the parks and eating treats. I'm not sure Kaydence likes the lines but I met up with them in the evening and I heard her say "Oh Wow!" a few times so I think she liked it! She is always so happy! It was cold and raining a little bit but that didn't stop us from going on Splash Mountain. I got soaked but YOLO! We had so much fun and got home close to midnight and I was pooped!

On Wednesday, we had work and school and Parker had a lot of school work to catch up on so they relaxed and Parker was able to take her to mutual that night. Tanner had a work dinner and I had book club so the littles were home alone for about 45 minutes until Parker came home and put them to bed. Good thing my kids are such super stars because they went right to bed and were champs. Kaydence was the perfect house guest and left her room spotless each day. I really appreciated her attention to detail!

On Thursday, after work and school (and my massage at the chiropractor), we took Kaydence to my parent's house with Parker and then she was able to go to MCO. She loved it and when my mom picked them up, she got them some Wendy's which Kaydence thought was so fun! The kids did so well at MCO and I'm so proud of them! Kaydence quickly braided Rayleigh's hair and I was bummed that we didn't have more time with her to do more hair stuff. The week went by so quickly!

I really hope Kaydence had a wonderful time and made lots of unforgettable memories. We loved having her and can't wait for her to come back!
