Halloween 2025

 This year we had such a fun Halloween and celebrated all week long! On top of it being Halloween, it was Red Ribbon Week so we had a theme for each day like twin day, wear red, pajama day, and we even had a fun assembly with some basketball players doing tricks for the students!

On Monday, I pulled the kids out of school early and took them to the orthodontist. Ray got bottom braces! Before the appointment, we grabbed McDonald's which hit the spot. For Family Home Evening, Tanner and I took the kids to hike pumpkin rock. We got there just after the sunset and it was so nice! It was hard- I thought I was gonna die. Looks like I need to get into better shape! After the hike, we grabbed Baja Fish Tacos for dinner and Pumpkin Space Fraps for dessert from Starbucks. We were accidentally given drinks with coffee and we were all a little turned off by that! Kinda yucky! But then we ended the night at the Pumpkin Patch and the kids got to play on 2 blow up slides and had a blast. Tanner was cold. It was a terrific night!

Tuesday, I stayed at work to help with buddies since Ella is in our buddy class. I helped my little group carve their pumpkin and count the seeds. It was fun! After theater club, I took Jack and Ella to soccer and Ray to mutual and then, after soccer, Ella and I picked up some ribbons from Yvette who is moving. It was good to see her and minister just a little bit.

Wednesday after school, we had Activity Days which was a good time. The kids had an apple stacking challenge and made pudding graveyards. They ended by watching Charlie Brown. I had bookclub that night and Tanner took the kids to his work's Trunk or Treat. Actually, Parker came home to pick them up and take them. But they had a great time and got lots of treats and food.

Thursday was MCO which is always the best. Heather (old work wife who blocked me on social media) was there volunteering and I texted Angel to pray for me and it worked! I didn't have to see her and all was well. Actually, I had less anxiety than I normally would have had. So, I'm growing! It's always fun hanging out in the parking lot with my partner Bryan and cute to have Tanner show up before we left. Parker served in the temple with Gavin and we all had a wonderful day.

Friday was Halloween! We had a costume parade at school in the morning and Colleen and I dressed up as Salt and Pepper. The kids were so cute and we had so much fun celebrating all day. I helped in Ella's class with their super awesome party and peeked in Jack and Rayleigh's classes too. Jack's class didn't do anything but Ray had pizza and games.

After school we had piano lesson and then met up at Shannon's for Trick or Treating. The kids had a blast with their friends and it was so nice of Shannon to provide food and a place for us to gather. She is the best!!!!! There was a little drama which was unfortunate but just reaffirms by desire to hone in on my family and not waste energy outside my home. Parker took Ben down to Emerald's house and they helped with her annual haunted house that they build in their front yard. He picked up Kimmie from her boyfriends house on the way home and even though they got home late- they had an absolutely amazing time! Parker and Emerald were Luke and Leia, Ray was a shadow, Jack was Vector from Despicable Me, and Ella was a little Indian Princess. 

Saturday was clean up day! We got a lot done and the garage looks much better! We washed the cars and sheets and put Halloween away. Jack and Ella had their last soccer games of the season. Now we are on to play offs. Jack and Rayleigh both had parties at the same time at 2 different trampoline places and Shannon took Ella to her house so the girls could work on their culture fair projects. So that gave Tanner and I the chance to run some errands and grab lunch (China Bros).

Hurray for an extra hour of sleep Sunday morning! Here's to welcoming in November (starting with my sweet Muzzie's birthday- we did some reminiscing about her wonderful life) and filling our hearts with thankfulness!
