Santa Barbara!
Saturday Tanner had to do some work up in Ventura so Parker and I tagged along and we ended up cruisin' up to Santa Barbara! While Tanner was doing business Parker and I played in the grass and looked for bugs-n-stuff.
The drive up the coast was absolutely beautiful! I was glad I was able to share that with Tanner since he's never been that far up the 101 and I have such found memories of it. It was cool to see my parents old stomping grounds in Santa Barbara My Dad got his Masters Degree from UCSB right there in the late 60s early 70s. Santa Barbara must have been a complete blast for them! We drove down to the beach and parked and walked down the pier and told ourselves we would eat at the first place we could find (we were starving) and ended up at the Harbor Restaurant (super yuumy!) Tanner got the top sirloin and I got the salmon. Since our 4 year anniversary is on April 2nd we thought we'd count this as our anniversary dinner! :-) It was quite romantic though, great service, great view over looking the pacific, and great company!
On our way home we wanted to stop in L.A. and take a quick breeze through Beverly Hills. I had to use the bathroom so we stopped at Wallgreens and they had valet!!! So funny huh? While Tanner was waiting for me out in the parking lot he saw the Angel Moroni! So we made our way over to the L.A. Temple. Neither of us had been there and we were so impressed with the temple's quiet strength. A stark contrast in the center of a busy, bustling city. So we took Wilshire up to Rodeo Dr. (we didn't want to stick our camera out the window and look like a bunch of crazy tourists) but we turned into a neighborhood to change a diaper and I snapped this shot of a pretty street. We drove up through Beverly Hills up to the Beverly Hills Hotel and then back home. We were only gone for 12 hours but it was a super fun day!
