A Day for Exploration

It's funny how plans change, despite our very best efforts to pre-decide when and where we go... Today was one such day....

We began the day with an honest intent to head down to San Diego and spend the afternoon at Sea World.... funny thing about living in California.... the traffic ...

So after traveling about 5 miles in 45 minutes we decided that we were stuck with a lemon. I wasn't in the mood to waste the precious little time together we have these days. We quickly exited the freeway in San Clemente & decided to be a bit spontaneous and explore the beach instead... We were lucky to find a little gem of a park nestled above the cliffs overlooking the ocean in San Clemente....

I just thought there was something interesting about this shot...

You just can't deny those baby blue eyes!....

So, despite the apparent failure to achieve our plan of making it to Sea World, we got re-acquainted with an age-old lesson... Steve aptly recognized our lesson when he noted, "So, you decided to make lemonade."
