Tanner's Home!

Life sure is full of surprises. Surprise pregnancy. Surprise new job for Tanner.
Yes. You read correctly.
After a year at Plum they decided to set him free. He completed all of his training and passed all of his licensing exams with flying colors. Right now they don't have any buildings available for him to run so they let him go.  To be honest, I was thrilled. I was not looking forward to 10 days of him being gone and this, ironically, is the most ideal time for him to be home with me.  He flew home that night and the next day hit the ground running with the job search. He has MANY great leads and has truly felt loved, guided, and blessed through this whole ordeal. And I, for one, am so thankful that I have my husband by my side as I deal with the first few weeks of an unexpected pregnancy.

It's been awesome having Tanner home to help get Parker to and from school, cook, clean, and run errands with me. He's been spending most of every day on the phone or out interviewing but we've been resting for a couple hours (usually while the baby is napping) and watching FRIENDS. Wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to go to work???

Rayleigh is the cutest little tub baby.

And she sprouted her first 2 teeth! Finally!!!

Oh man, does this girl love her daddy. Non stop cuddles and kisses for him.

And I had to capture this sweet moment when she wanted nothing to do with me (all sick and curled up on the couch with baby yucks) and Tanner was making us dinner.

Love my sweet girl.

Sometimes we venture to Target and waste too much time and too much money.

I scared the baby with a wolf mask. Why do I do these things???

There have been terrible fires in Northern California and the smoke is disgusting. We were out at Parker's soccer practice and it was gross!

Parker had been dying to see Dolphin Tale 2 (he has had a recent obsession with dolphins which I find totally wonderful) But the baby was NOT interested. So Tanner took her out and walked around with her. He said at one point she just sprawled out on the floor. She's so funny!

Love this little family of mine- all dolled up for church.

The baby was cracking up one day while Parker was running around the kitchen pushing her in a laundry basket. Big brothers are the best!

This is how we FRIENDS. ;-)

I seem to spend a lot of time laying on the floor. Rayleigh loves to attack me when I'm down on the ground with her. It's pretty much my favorite.
Hopefully Tanner will land a good job soon. He's got plenty of amazing leads- about 7! It's interesting to see the hand of the Lord through this phase of our life. We are so blessed and I'm so thankful for His guidance and direction.
