Seaworld with the Petersons
I was so flattered when they all said they wanted to go to Seaworld while they were here. Of course, I was expecting Disneyland or something but I'll take Seaworld any day of the week! We love that place! For Parker's birthday, we surprised him with a dolphin encounter. It was not nearly as epic as the day the trainers allowed him to come back and train Rain. But he was thrilled, none the less and he was able to see his favorite trainers again.
Everyone wanted to see the shows which I'm not a big fan of. While they were all watching the dolphin show I was to Turtle Cove and enjoyed the AC while talking to Andrea on the phone. ha ha BUT, the first stop was the Shamu show so while EVERYONE was up watching the show I was down at the observation tank with Jack watching the whales swim around. There were 6 of them including the mamma with her new baby. I LOVED that time with Jack. Just him and I watching those majestic killer whales.
We were lucky, too, and ran into one of the "Seaworld Surprise Squad" people. I asked him to "surprise" Parker and he WAS! We all got tickets to feed the sea lions and bat rays!
We took everyone over to the Arctic Zone to cool off. Nicole and I nursed our babies in the darkness of the penguin encounter. ha ha
Here he is waiting for the dolphin encounter. He's such a cutie pie.
Parker loves to say that he was drenched by a killer whale and a bottle nosed dolphin.
The next stop was Parker's second most favorite thing of all time- the Manta roller coaster! I think he rode it about 4 times!
Kim, Monte, and I took one for the team at Journey to Atlantis. I love these tanks though- one of my favorites.
We all sat down and ordered a yummy dinner and after that we were recharged for a fun evening! We could have gone ALL night long! But the park was closing soon so we ran around trying to make the most of our last few minutes. The gang all rode the roller coaster again while the babies and I stayed behind feeding the bat rays. Rayleigh especially loved the dead feeder fish.
At the very end I stayed with Grant while Nicole rode the Manta- That girl sacrifices so much to make everyone else happy! I was glad she was able to have a little fun too!
This group shot is slightly different that the enthusiastic one we took at the beginning of the day. But we all had a blast! Let's go again!!!!
