Ella is 6 Months Old!

My sweet little Ella Bella is growing up faster than I can handle. It isn't fair! When she turned 6 months old, she was pretty sick with an upper respiratory infection. She had an ear infection and had to go on antibiotics so her pictures were not of her usual bright self. We took more as the month has progressed and she began feeling better, though.
Ella is all the good things. She sleeps 12 hours at night and if she's awake, she happy. She smiles at everyone, plays contently with her toys on the floor or in any of her baby accouterments. She devours baby crackers. A few days ago I made her a bottle and needed to sit down and feed it to her. She was super hungry and I needed to wash my hands. So I just handed it to her and quickly washed only to come back and find her holding that bottle like a boss.
Who needs a mother? She might as well just move out and get her own apartment.
She will fall asleep in my arms with no fuss. She's great at self soothing. I also sat her up one day to play with toys on the floor and she just stayed that way. Like it was no big deal. Only it IS a big deal and why didn't she tell me she could do all of these things? It's like she feels badly for me and wants to make me happy by "letting" me do things for her. I've already decided I'm moving in with her when she goes off to college.
She loves music and loves to sing. When she hears her jams from the Greatest Showman come on the speakers, she sings along. She loves the water and is super excited when we all sit in the hot tub together. She will go under the water like a good sport and come up smiling. She's a water baby like the rest of them! She is easy and happy and joyful and beautiful and smart.
She weighs 15 pounds putting her in the 34th percentile for weight and 27 inches tall which is in the 88th percentile. The doctor didn't think we had her height correct (even though she laid their still and straight as a board when they took the measurement) and had us measure her again. But sure enough, she's just tall.
Duh.
When people see her they say, "Oh! Yep, she's a Peterson." and she's basically Rayleigh's twin. She is so rewarding because she will smile at everyone. And then everyone instantly falls in love with her.
What's not to love?? Ella, you are one remarkable young lady and I'm so glad you're mine!

Her number 1 fan. (Hence the reason for the bad cold which she caught from said "fan")

It's so cute when she sits in bed with us. This doesn't happen too much anymore since she goes to sleep right after Ray and Jack and stays there until morning. But sometimes we get to snuggle with her for a few minutes before I rock her to sleep. She was watching Tanner eat his ice cream and licking her chops!

She was hanging out with me while I did yoga. She's starting to be sad when I leave the room.

Yes, her hair is strawberry blond!

First time sitting in a high chair!!!!

Ok Ella, you can go ahead and stop growing now. Teeth and walking are over rated. Just let mommy take care of you. You'll be just fine!
