Halloween 2022
Halloween was pretty fun this year! We carved pumpkins after church on Sunday and Rayleigh and Jack did everything on their own for the very first time! Way to go, guys!
Monday was Halloween and all of the kindergarten teachers dressed up as m&ms. I was so glad that Mrs. Kliss and I were the green ones because that is the girl color. The kids walked around the school in a costume parade and I was able to see Rayleigh and Jack who were both dressed up, too! Jack was assigned to make a mask from a book character he loves so he did Minecraft guy. Rayleigh was her favorite Halloween character, a cat. The kids played games and had a little party and the day was so much fun! Tanner had a good day at work, too. They know how to party over there at the rehab center!
Scarlett got hurt during recess (the boys were being too rough) and the girls in class were so sweet to comfort her.
That night, we had a good dinner and then went Trick or Treating around our neighborhood. It was nuts- people went ALL OUT. The streets were packed and it was the place to be! We then went to Haley's house and met up with friends for some Trick or Treating. Mia B hurt her foot and had to be pulled around in a wagon. She seemed a little bummed about it because her friends all ran ahead and left her behind. Everyone except my sweet Rayleigh. She stayed right with Mia and brought her bag up to each house and made sure she got candy. I was so proud of her for being a good friend! I decided that although it is super awkward because my friends are lame, I'm not going to act sullen anymore. I held my head high and had a smile on my face. I wanted it to be a happy Halloween and it was!
Parker was not sure what he was going to do but ended up hanging out with his friend Natalie and I think they had a pretty great time, too!
We are now dealing with the daily sugar highs from all of their loads of candy.
Pray for us.
