We all had a morning of some much needed sleeping in. Who even knows what time it is and what our bodies are even thinking, at this point. All I know is that Jack really needs to get better. Tanner thinks he has the flu. He seems to be doing better today. We got ready and ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Tanner and I both had gift cards but his were zeroed out and mine were expired. Bummer. But the food was delicious and we got nice full tummies all prepared for concert night. Tanner took the boys up to get ready and I took the girls to the water fountain that we walked past last night. I don’t know what all of the buildings are and what they mean, but they are beautiful and the girls were thrilled to cool off in this cool public fountain. It was a bit of a chilly walk back to the hotel through the mall, though.
We got ready for the concert and because Tanner didn’t want to rush and sweat on the walk over, we Ubered over there. Tanner and the kids were immediately called on stage to rehearse and I hung out in the holding room with Ella and waited for the young singers to show up. It’s a good thing I work in kindergarten because these kids were adorable and fun to be with. There was one spunky girl who tried my patience a time or 2. But I have a soft spot for girls like that because they are the one who will grow up to change the world.
The kids did an absolutely phenomenal job performing and I was beaming with pride watching them. THEY PERFORMED ON STAGE AT THE BOSTON SYMPHONY HALL!!
With a full orchestra! They LOVED performing in the concert and sang their hearts out. They were absolutely exhausted at the end of the night. But totally blissful. It started pouring down rain during the show which made my job of getting Young Singers back to their parents a little complicated. But alls well that ends well. We took some pictures in front of the theater and enjoyed our beautiful stroll back to the hotel. WHAT A NIGHT! It was incredible and I’m so proud of Tanner and the kids! Parker had a blast and loved seeing his buddies. He’s a leader and takes such pride in his performance. We love MCO and we are so grateful for this rare opportunity!
