Parker's Senior Prom with Emerald

Parker went to his senior Prom!!!
Prom was probably my most favorite high school memory. Especially senior year.

STORY TIME!
When I was a junior, I was a part of the stake youth counsel. Every guy at my school sucked so I knew if I wanted a date to prom, I'd need to look outside the box. There was a kid named Adam on the Youth Counsel with me and I got word that Lindsey T was going to ask him to prom and I'd had my sights set on him. So I quickly formed a plan and asked him and he said yes! Woo hoo! David C's Dad got us a private room at a super nice resturant and we had a fancy dinner before hitting the road to the dance at the Newport Hyatt. I was ALL over Adam that night and REALLY wanted him to kiss me. It would have bene my first kiss! But at the after party at David's house, he pulled me outside and told me that he could tell I wanted him to kiss me but that he wasn't going to because he was focused on serving a mission and wanted to keep himself morally clean. Awwww! I'd been praying so hard to Heavenly Father for a date to prom and He delivered. Adam was a perfect gentleman and there was probably no other teenaged boy on planet earth that would have respected me that much. About a year later, we went on a date and he took me for a walk along the San Clemente pier. We were watching the moon come in and out of the clouds and the surfers catch the last few waves of the night when he bent over and kissed me. It was so sweet and romantic. It wasn't my first kiss by then, but it was definitely the sweetest!
For my senior year, I asked Jacob to go with me as a friend and he said yes and it was a really fun era of life, playing at Jacob's house and wrapping up childhood. Adam asked me to go with him to San Clemente's prom but it was the same night as Laguna Hills', so i set him up with Ashley. Sky also asked me to Aliso's prom but I said no because I thought all of his friends hated me. (Do I regret this? I don't know). But I set Sky up with Courtney and we all went together as a big group but I mostly danced with Jacob. I danced some with Adam and some with Sky. But at the after party at Lindsey's house in Coto, Sky took me outside and said he didn't like the way I was dancing with the other guys. Oh man. Sky really loved me and it was hard because I just didn't like him like that and I LOVED dancing with alllll the guys. ha ha Senior year we had a picnic at the beach for the dinner (before the Montage but we ate at a park in Laguna close to where Montage is now) and then took Angel's mom's big van to the Newport Hyatt. We made a fun "reality show" video a few weeks before and showed it in the van on the way to the dance. Fun!
Anyhoo, Angel and I were a great team and made lots of fun memories at those dances and I'll cherish those memories forever!

Parker asked Emerald by writing one thing he loved about her on each card in a deck of cards and getting her flowers. So cute. She kept her dress a secret but got him this tie so he would match. He bought her a corsage and a purple rose and was so happy when we got down to San Diego. I know he was the perfect gentleman and Emerald looks SOOOO happy in all of the pictures. I dropped him off around 3pm and took the kids to the Mormon Battalion and then to eat Mexican food for dinner in Old Town. Tanner met us for pictures and we chatted with Emerald's parents for a little while before Tanner drove us home and we left my car for Parker.
The dance was at the San Diego Safari Park and it looks like they had a blast. I'm sure the made memories to last a lifetime!!!!! Go Parker! You're a stud!!!
