Week 1 of Spring Break and Our 2st Anniversary

 We had a lot of laundry and cleaning to do after we all had such an epic weekend retreating. So Monday was mostly spent doing laundry. But Tanner and I did taxes with our guy, Jordan, and we are happy that we are doing pretty well! Tanner might have to buy a truck for tax purposes so that would work out considering Parker needs a car when he get home from BYUI. So we’ll see! That evening, we celebrated our 21st anniversary with a 90 minute couples massage and man, THAT was perfect. We both needed it. I could have stayed on that massage table for another 2 hours. It was niiiice.

Tuesday I got new tires on my car and took the kids to the Dogman movie. We met friends there and brought Alec home afterward. More cleaning. And packing for Utah/Idaho!

Wednesday was our actual anniversary but I took the kids to Disneyland because we only have 2 days this month when we can go! It’s crazy. The kids are getting so busy with their commitments that it’s hard to squeeze in Disney anymore. It’s sad but I think we might take a break from our passes. We had a great time, through, and to sort of celebrate our anniversary and because we will probably not renew our passes, I decided to splurge on the kids and take them to Blue Bayou for lunch. We checked back a few times until they accepted walk ins and it was so great! Jack and I split a Monte Cristo sandwich and the girls each got a kids meal. The whole meal cost $56 which is less than it costs to take them to Chick Fil A! Tanner got home from work and wanted something special to eat for our anniversary too and his “go to” is a steak. So he took himself to Flemings and got himself a steak! He brought a filet and a brownie home for me and HIS dinner cost $220! So crazy. And so funny that this is where we are after 21 years. Supporting each other to each live their best lives!

Thursday was a little busy with doing my follow up bloodwork, schedule an ultrasound for my gallbladder, running to target, getting gas and a car wash, taking the kids to another orthodontist appointment (someday we’ll get them their braces) and running to the library for In n Out certificates. We then had MCO rehearsal which was so fun and a quick visit to my parents house.

Friday, we drove with my parents up to Utah and it was smooth and easy despite the couple of snow storms we traveled through. We stopped in Mesquite for a McDonald’s run and Beaver for ice cream. Sundance is full of snow! Who knew???? We are going to have a fun week!
