Memorial Day Weekend
Starting early Thursday morning I watched my favorite 5 kids while their mom and dad went to play in New York. It was so fun! We mostly played Wii, went to the movies, played at my house in the backyard with the puppies, did hair, went to church, laughed, talked, ate food, and... OH YA! We ran a 5 k!
This picture is for Papa, he loves watermelon and so does Parker!!!!!
This is London and Parker. London is 3 and Parker ADORES her! They have fun together- usually involving making a lot of noise. Except for this rare moment when they cuddled and watched Arthur together. Sooooo cute!
Oh! And I had to document this. We have finally transitioned Parker into a big boy bed. He stared climbing out again and this time there was no turning back. It's been a new, "interesting" challenge getting him to stay in bed for naps and bed time. I had to risk him waking up to snap this picture. He's completely asleep. I think he dozed off in the middle of his prayers! Silly boy!
Here's London and her "baby". For 2 days straight all she wanted to do was hold Cali, our dog, and treat her like a baby! ha ha
Abby and London and the baby in our new play house!
Friday night kid #3, Tyler (who is 13) decided to invite not one but 2 boys over to spend the night! They were actually really good and didn't bug me too much. They wanted to set up a tent in the backyard to sleep in and I thought, "That's a great idea! Keep the mess outside!" The next day they swam and I think they had a great time!
Charlie, the dog, showing off
Oh! And London was doing so well on dance dance revolution! Sooooo cute! ha ha
So, here's 4/5 on Sunday night. After Tanner got Parker down, my mom kept an ear out for him and Tanner came over and made us all popcorn and watched Bedtime Stories with us! They had a lot of fun with hyper Tanner. Tanner's going to be a GREAT Dad to our 5 kids some day! :-)
Ty being 13 years old
Dont mind my "no makeup" face
So!!!!! Monday was the Laguna Hills Memorial Day Half Marathon and 5k! I had been thinking for a while about doing it but wasn't too sure. So I talked it over with #2 and #4 and they said they would do it too!! Emily is 15 (almost 16) and Abby is 10! I was so proud of them for racing and so happy that they did it with me! It was so fun and actually really easy!
Here were are at the finish line (flexing our muscles of course)
My sister Josi and her friend Angela did it too!
My brother Jon and his wife Laura did the 1/2 Marathon (13 miles people!) AND pushed the baby... the whole way... and finished in less than 2 hours. They hardly broke a sweat!
Group shot!
Later that day, after Bob and Lisa came home, we met our good friends Jason and Julianne for Lunch at Lucilles. It was super yummy and fun to catch up with them! They are newlyweds and Jason just graduated from Pepperdine Law School! They are moving to Vegas soon so it was fun to see them!
That afternoon we went to the Montage for a little Memorial Day beach time. My whole family was down there so it was fun to hang out with everyone! It was a beautiful day- picture perfect! It was exactly a year ago today that my Grandma passed away and so it was a wonderful way to remember her and all of our amazing memories with her. :-) Love you Muz!
Whelp, that's all folks. Sorry for all the pictures but I pretty much have to document everything that happens at every moment in my life. It was a super fun weekend. I miss my kids already! Good thing they live close by! :-) And, I am looking forward to another 5k soon! (or maybe the 10k mud run in Irvine- could be kinda exciting!)
