Christmas Time in '09 (Part II)

On Christmas Eve morning we woke up, got all bundled up, made hot chocolate and soup, loaded up the car with sweaters, sweets, and sleds and headed up to Sundance.
We are feeling pretty good about life knowing that, even though we are no longer 10 minutes from the beach, we are 10 minutes from the beautiful mountains!
Parker had an absolute blast! We all did! We even found some reindeer poop! I guess Santa and his sleigh were getting close! My genius husband was all prepared for our fun day. He brought a gas heater thingy that we set up outside of the car so we could stand there and warm up when we needed to, he brought a heater thingy for the car to keep our soup nice and warm, and he brought us fancy, toasty thermoses to keep our hot chocolate warm and delicious! It was the best time I'd had in a long time and definitely something we are excited to do year after year! We had the hill all to ourselves so we blasted Christmas music and laughed and screamed (at least I did) when we slid down the icy hill!

Later that day we made cookies for Santa!

That night we went to Lou and Lorelie's house for a yummy Christmas Eve dinner with everyone. We felt blessed to be invited because we were the only "non family members" there. I guess that means we're special. The house was so warm and festive and the soups were all delicious! We had a good time while we were there... we couldn't stay for long because Parker was begging to go to bed. I guess he was excited for Santa to come and bring him a "race car". :-)

It was a very memorable Christmas Eve! We are excited to start some Peterson Family Christmas Traditions!
