St. Patrick's Day 2014

We love St. Patrick's Day!! I set up a little treasure hunt for Parker in the morning. He woke up early and searched for all the clues before I was even out of bed!

I tried to snap a picture of my cute little leprechauns.

Parker's class had a party so we made 30 cups of rainbow jello! Obviously it was a huge hit. And it made so much more sense to make it this way because who can actually eat 6 boxes of jello? Every year when we make this, our little family can hardly put a dent in it. We are always so sick of jello after it's gone...

Parker and I had a ton of fun making his leprechaun trap! It took us a few hours and we used a bunch of old supplies we had laying around. A diaper box, drink umblrellas, scrapbook paper, glitter, and a Pingle's can.

We tried to trick the leprechaun into walking onto the "beach" and lured him over to the "gold" chocolate candy. The goal was to have him fall through the hole in the "sand" covered by a "towel" (tissue) and fall into the can. Pretty fun, huh?

Well, we didn't catch the sneaky little guy so no gold for us. But we did get invited to visit our friends' horse! Parker's friend from school, Stevie, asked us to drive out to the stables and take his horse for a walk and enjoy a little picnic in the country! His Dad is his TBall coach and we've really enjoyed getting to know this sweet family. We were excited to see the horse! The drive out to the stables was gorgeous. I can't believe such a lush, country, tree dense area is so close to home!

Parker has always been a little hesitant of horses but he was all smiles. It was a great time!

And the good news is that we didn't get pinched!!! We are lucky for sure!
