Tanner's Family Comes to Visit!!!

We absolutely loved having Tanner's parents and little sister here! Rayleigh and McCoy were soooo cute together! We have everything a baby needs which made the 2 babies happy and entertained. Next year it will be a whole different story with them learning to share and what not. But for now they just sat on the floor and loved being together. We even put Rayleigh in the walker and McCoy in the jumper and she walked over to him. So sweet!

Monte made breakfast each morning and Tanner was home by lunch every day. We went shopping or to the mall and got lunch each day. So fun! I made dinner each night and we all enjoyed big bowls of ice cream for dessert. We watched movies and sat up talking. It was a great time. We have the most awesome family!

It's nearly impossible to get a good shot of 2 infants both looking and smiling at the camera! Still to die for though...

We need a bigger dining room and table! ha ha

It was constantly raining so we didn't get to spend as much time at the pool or out walking as we had hoped. In fact, the first night they were here we all bundled up and went to the hot tub. When we got there it was raining so hard and hailing! But we weren't gonna miss out on a good spa session so we waited until it slowed up a bit and then booked it to the hot tub. Not 2 minutes after we were all in and enjoying the steamy warmth the "boss lady" came out and informed us that we were breaking California State Law by having "children under the age of 5" in the hot tub. We stared at her in utter disbelief and total devastation. Now we were even more cold all soaking wet as we slopped back into the wind and rain and ran to the car. As you can imagine, we were pretty bummed.

We did manage to catch a few hours of decent sunshine and took a little field trip to Auburn. We drove over the bridge and then took a nice nature walk underneath along the trail. Travis spotted every living creature there was and Monte picked a California Poppy. Our law breaking tally was now up to 2. :-)

I loved this purple tree! So pretty! I had Kaitlin and Travis pose like it was their engagement pictures. They are hilarious! That Travis, he has the BEST sense of humor!

It was Travis' birthday on Friday so on Thursday night we celebrated with some brownies! He prefers brownies over cake. And of course, some cookies-n-cream ice cream. Kaitlin had been out shopping and surprised him with some nice gifts! We had a fun little party!

Here are the Forest-Hill Bridge pictures from Tanner's awesome GoPro!

It was so sad seeing them go. I still can't get over how perfectly it all worked out for them to come! I'm so glad we got some good use out of those vouchers! The curse of the vouchers is over! ha ha We had the most excellent time with everyone and can't wait to see everyone again! And Kassidy will be home in 6 months! Which means Kim won't cry every time we talk about her, think about her, or see a picture of her. ha ha Just kidding, Kim. Kass, I hope you know how much you are loved!!!!
Until we meet again!!!!
