Day Trippin' in San Diego
I had a free ticket to SeaWorld since I have a pass and I planned on taking Parker on my own. But Tanner decided to join us so we made a family day of it and all went down to San Diego! We ate at Islands (our favorite family eatery in La Jolla) and then dropped Kassidy off at the temple. It was Memorial Day Weekend so SeaWorld was pretty packed but we made the most of it and had fun!
We did a mini loop around the park. We didn't get to ride any rides or see some of our favorite animals like the sharks but we spent about 4 hours there and just strolled around and showed Tanner all the fun things we love about SeaWorld!
Flamingos are so rad
I love the turtles!
I was trying to take a family selfie in the Arctic Zone and a nice lady offered to take one for us! Sweet! Jack and Rayleigh both weren't fans of the stroller. Rayleigh had not taken a nap on the way down so she was pretty crazy. Tanner ended up just shoving her into the Britaxi- which she thoroughly enjoyed! Jack just wanted to nurse and be held the entire time.
Parker was bummed because he'd brought some money to spend at the gift shop and was looking for something in particular but since the baby was freaking out we had to leave and he couldn't make his purchase. He's always taking one for the team. But when we were walking to the car he wouldn't NOT let it go and Tanner was getting frustrated with him. So we stopped and said a prayer that we would have a good rest of the day, have patience with each other, and have the spirit with us. Almost immediately the mood lightened and we didn't have another mention of the gift store incident for the rest of the day.
We ran to Yogurtland for a little afternoon snack. It really hit the spot!
The temple looked so beautiful when we went to pick up Kassidy. There were a few straggler brides and grooms taking pictures but we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We changed a couple of diapers and took some pictures. It was a good way to end the day.
I feel so lucky to live where we live! It's so beautiful here! I love it!
