Quick Idaho Trip
Tanner's Grandpa Green passed away and so he took Parker and Kassidy up to Idaho to attend the funeral. It was a quick trip but they made the most of it!
They left late Wednesday night and spent the night in St. George. The next day was spent driving all the way up to Blackfoot with a stop in Salt Lake to pick up Travis and Kesler. Kim and a wonderful dinner prepared for everyone.
Friday they spent together as a family hiking, 4 wheeling, and BBQing at Kaitlin and Travis' house.
Saturday was the funeral but they made time for some fun as well. They ate at Rupe's, a "must" while visiting Blackfoot!
Sunday was a FULL day of driving all the way home. I sure missed my big boys while they were gone. I spent Thursday hanging out with the babies at home and then decided I did not like being alone. So, Friday we packed up and headed to my parents. We went to the beach with everyone on Friday, and ran errands and such on Saturday. I love going to church at my home ward so that was a real treat on Sunday. Rayleigh is able to take her nap before church starts so we all enjoy a the full 3 hours. Although, she did NOT want to sit in sacrament meeting. I tossed Jack to my mom as she literally ran ALL over the church. She didn't even look back! Thank goodness for the nursery! I love church! But, I was so glad to see my handsome boys' faces when they returned Sunday night!
Parker was an awesome "big" cousin. Only McCoy and Kesler were there but Parker watched over them, played with them, and made them each smile and laugh the whole time they were together! Such a great kid!!!
"Parker, go stand in the field so I can take some pictures!"- Tanner. Parker is such a good sport. We're gonna need more daughters to put up with all this modeling we make our kids do.... As you can see, Parker is thrilled to be standing in the wheat.
Parker was super home sick, though, and needed to call me multiple times and every night before bed. He was very teary which was sweet but heart breaking. He was worried about the rain clouds (he is phobic about severe storms- thank you PA) and when the 15 South was shut down due to a fire crossing the freeway and igniting 2 dozen cars, that didn't help clam his fears. He told me he would reach in the pocket of his Jr. Lifeguard sweatshirt and feel the sand and it would make him smile and remember home. I think we have a little California Surfer boy on our hands....
Lots of Face-timing everyday.... sweet, sweet boy.
I'm glad they are home and I think they are glad too!
