Joshua Tree

Our first attempt at Joshua Tree didn't pan out. We prepared ourselves and drove all the way there only to be turned away- the park was closed due to COVID-19. Cami took her family camping last week so we knew it was open for exploration! We did a little research, found a few places to hike, and set off on an adventure! The kids had a blast, especially Rayleigh. She was totally in her element and it makes me so excited for her future. It was nice to escape reality for a day, being amongst some epic scenery, and spend time together as a family. We listened to U2s Joshua Tree album which is one of my all time favorites and were struck by all of the huge Joshua Trees we saw. We packed lunch but grabbed KFC for dinner. When we arrived home, we cleaned up and snuggled together for family movie night. These are the days!!!
