LHHS Class of 2002 Girls Night Out

Since I missed my 10 year high school reunion this summer I wanted so badly to try and get together with some old high school friends during our 7 week break. My friend, Lindsay, offered to host a party at her house with a few close girls. To say that I had a good time would be the understatement of the year. I can't even put into words how much fun I had. I laughed so hard and was able to just be ME again. It was so interesting to hear what everyone is now up to and to get a view into how they saw me and my life turning out. They were shocked to hear that I had been struggling with infertility since they were all very much aware of the fact that all through high school all I talked about was being a wife and a mother. It really became clear to  me that Heavenly Father chooses the right trials just for US. 

But I am so proud to be friends with this amazing group of girls! Linsday is a veterinarian, Jana is  NICU nurse with a husband currently serving in Afghanistan, Katie: I covet her perfect body and she just got engaged!, Michelle owns her own Salon in San Diego as well as a beautiful piece of property with horses, Courtney has her masters and is an elementary school teacher (it was GREAT talking to her about how to better home-school Parker), and Katina is pregnant with baby girl #2!

We stayed out until well past midnight which was a big deal for all us almost 30 year old's. ;-) I can't wait to see them all again. Nothing can replace your good, girl friends from high school. And really, most of these girls I've know since birth (Jana) or elementary school so we really go WAY back! Thank you Tanner for understanding a girl's need for some good old fashioned girl time and thank you ladies for making this night unforgettable!
