Conference Weekend and Hike to Pumpkin Rock

Conference weekend was a little rough. Tanner and I got into a huge fight. But the good news is, we worked through it and we are better and stronger for having aired some concerns. We are recommitted to a weekly date night as well as some other life improvements including more vigilance to our budget. Marriage is hard and Satan does NOT want us listening to the Prophet in our living rooms or dwelling in a happy home. Joke's on you, Satan. You will not win!

Parker was invited to play games at Jill's and he was the only boy! I think he was ok with it. 

The kids wrote me sweet notes. Rayleigh folded hers to look like a Disneyland map.

Tanner and I enjoyed a much needed date night in Newport. We walked around Roger's Gardens and used a gift card to eat at CPK. We walked around Fashion Island and got ice cream and talked and talked. It was good.

The following weekend, we split up on Saturday and Tanner took the boys to San Diego to check out the new Top Gun jet (the real deal) It was all super top secret so he couldn't take any pictures. But they had fun! I took the girls to Target, Yogurtland, and we used a coupon to get a yummy pizza! That  night we had a SUPER fun game night with friends! There were about 20 of us all together. We all brought something yummy to share and laughed hysterically during Code Names and Mafia. It was the best!!!!

On Sunday we painted our own mini "pumpkin" rocks before church to take up on our hike. We waited until sunset and enjoyed a great hike with the kids. They were awesome and we made it up in less than 10 minutes. Anything outdoors together is my favorite.We ended with a much  needed Boo Bath.

Halloween time is here and it is so fun!
