Tanner's 38th Birthday!

Not much going on this week.
We have been laying low, trying to catch up on sleep and projects. We worked in the yard all day on Saturday and it was so nice! It looks great! Sunday, I spent my first glorious day in Relief Society and tanner took our first ward family photo. Then we celebrated Jessi’s 11th birthday at the Montage. Jon was nice! Yay!
I’ve been hit with a little bug and I’ve been trying hard to fight it off so I’ve been resting a lot this week, trying to keep the kids quietly entertained, and drinking lots of fluids. Tuesday I took Parker and Ella to the library because Parker is grounded and needed books to read. But Wednesday was Tanner’s birthday and it was pretty uneventful. He took Parker to work with him and they threw him a little party but then we had the same Wednesday responsibilities: swim team, mutual.... Thursday was dance and MCO (Parker LOVES MCO and especially, Lily) Friday we were able to go to dinner with new friends, David  (who works with Tanner) and Katie. They go way back with Jill and Paul so it was fun to add another couple to the circle of friends we have created. Saturday, Tanner took Parker to his very first swim meet and he did great! He had so much fun and I was so grateful to Tanner for taking him. Then they headed up to Malibu to attend the BYU basketball game vs Pepperdine. They had a blast and met Luis, Kailo, and Teo there too! The game was great and they loved meeting the players after wards. The kids and I had the most lazy of all lazy days and it was glorious. Tanner got a new calling on Sunday! The Bishop texted and asked to see both of us in his office and we were so worried! ha ha But he's going to work with the Deacon's now and that will be pretty cool. Church was great, lots of beautiful testimonies, then home for chicken and rice, ward choir, hot tub time, and Tanner took Parker to a Bishop's fireside. Hopefully we are ready for a new week!!!

Tanner's birthday dinner- he was out on the phone so we started without him

Crystal clear view of Catalina on our way to Laguna

The kids were stoked to see Tanner on Friday morning! It was like a celebrity sighting!

This made Tanner feel good.

David and Tanner- we finally sang Happy Birthday to him!

She broke her lizard's tail so she gave him a bandaid

We are blessed to have the best ward in the world!!!!
