Chino Hills Hike and CHICKS!!

Parker is going gangbusters with swimming lessons this week! We had a little bit of a bump in the road with both boys googling inappropriate images. But we got through it. I was super proud of both of them for how they handled their mistakes. Jack immediately grabbed Good Pictures, Bad Pictures and read the whole thing. Parker apologized, fasted, prayed, asked for a blessing, and made an appointment to meet with the Bishop. We had some really good talks and I love this kid so much. It made me so sad and angry that Satan found his way into my home and I couldn't protect my children, but I know Heavenly Father is watching down on us and the Lord is aware of our needs.
Due to the fact that we had such a hard day on Wednesday, Parker wanted to spend the day with us on Friday. We went on a short hike in Chino Hills. The trail that we usually walk on was closed due to the recent rain, but we still enjoyed the fresh air, quiet, and wide open space. Parker was so sweet and kind to his siblings as they looked for rocks and sticks. We got Costco for lunch per everyone's request and then we went to the Feed Store for baby chicks!
We are al in love! Each kid picked out their own chick and we got everything we needed to raise them right. Ella named her black chick Kiki, Rayleigh named her golden one Peace, and Jack named his golden one Chirp Chrip. We are smitten with our new baby chicks! When Wyatt and Aurora came for swimming lessons, the kids were so excited to show them our new pets. Then Rayleigh did everyone's nails before going to dance.
I'm so proud of these amazing kids of mine. Life is hard and we all make mistakes. But they are showing me how much integrity and humility they have. They are learning the hard lessons and I'm thankful for our home that can be a refuge and a lab for them to test, fail, and eventually succeed!
