One Last Disney Day with Ella and Parker Goes to the Temple

We had ONE last day to be able to use our Disney passes before the expired and no one wanted to go. So I took Ella for a 1:1 date and we had a blast. We got lunch at Pizza Planet, rode a few of our favorite rides. And that was it! We are going to miss going to Disney so often but we are all ready for a break for now.

In much BIGGER and grander news: Parker went through the temple for the first time and received his endowments! He was mad at me and hurt my feelings about something that I can't remember. I think we were both stressed about allll the things and Satan was trying to work his dark magic. But luckily, Tanner came in handy as the good parent and took some photos of Parker and was his escort. By the time we all entered the celestial room, all was well. Parker seemed to really enjoy his temple experience and was glowing when he came out.

My parents were able to meet us there and share in the event and we all went to Parker's favorite restaurant, Islands, afterward. Our Bishop, Bishop Tolley, was able to be there as well, which was really nice! It was a busy Tuesday night, the first day of school for a lot of people. So it was great that he made the effort.

All my days and every ounce of my mothering energy has been to prepare Parker for this moment. And he did it! WE did it! He's firmly planted on the path. His mission is going to be a great and solidifying experience and it's my hope and prayer that he stays close to his covenants and continues to build his testimony forever.
