We were able to visit Palmyra, New York on Saturday. Tanners professor drove us, along with his wife. It's about a 3 hour drive so we were really grateful! We met another Mormon classmate there and had a picnic and then doc and his wife watched our kids so we could do a session at the temple! They are not members and don't really know too much about the church so that was incredible of them and so generous. They were just curious about Joseph Smith and the church history sites up there so they asked if we could all go. We attended the Hill Cumorrah pageant as well which was really amazing and I'm so glad we were able to do that! We didn't get home until 3am but it was worth it. :-)
