House Hunting in SoCal
Did you know that house hunting is really hard? It's not my favorite thing. After a quick (General Conference) weekend in NorCal where we packed and tried to get organized, it was back down to SoCal to start the house search. We had a budget and a vague idea of where we wanted to live but we hired a Realtor and she helped us see some properties and gave us lots of great advice. By the end of the first day looking for homes in Chino Hills, Brea, and Yorba Linda I was in tears. All the homes we looked at that were in our price range were either too small or in such bad shape! And it's not like we were even in a super desirable area! Were we being too picky???? She told us of a new community called Eastvale where her daughter lives and though Tanner would have a longer commute to work and it smells like cows, it's a nice family community and the best part is it's very affordable. So, we are now hooked up with her daughter and doing our best to research homes and put down offers. We've had our ups and downs so we are SUPER ready to finally find a place and be done with all the looking around!
Boxes for days... Bye Bye Sacramento!
On the drive BACK down to SoCal! Woo hoo!
I babysat for Jon one week day evening so he and Laura could have a nice night out.
Matchy matchy!
We spent an hour one day playing at the Pumpkin Patch- man it was HOT!
Yogurtland for dinner? Don't mind if I do! Everyone loves a pregnant mom and all her irrational cravings.
On Saturday Tavian had a Ju Jit Su competition so we went out to support him! He did great! It was so awesome to see him! It was a completely "different" crowd than what we are used to but very cool to see! Savannah loved watching a little Baby Einstein with Rayleigh before we left... :-)
Savy dropped her ring so my mom and Parker climbed under the bleachers to find it!
We took the kids to Ladera to swim one day! It was sooo fun! Tanner is the BEST Dad to run around and play with his kiddos.
My gorgeous parents all decked out for church!
Since it was fast Sunday, Tanner and I made a super yummy dinner to come home to after church. Sweet potato casserole thingy with yams and sweet potatoes and butternut squash and apples and walnuts with cinnamon and sugar. Baked.
And marinated maple, garlic, thyme chicken. Grilled.
With grilled zucchini too!
Rayleigh loves the iPad!
Tanner let Parker take some pictures this his camera and Parker was thrilled!!!!
We took Rayleigh down to the park for a little 10 minute birthday photo shoot. We played for a while after we were done shooting. This girl LOVES the swings!!!
Hopefully we find a house soon! Parker is SOOOO ready to be back in school! And I'm ready to be settled and get back to all the other things I worry about! ha ha
