A Fun Fall Weekend With My Little Family
Friday I took the kids to the beach for a few hours and it was sooooo fun! Parker immediately spotted some boys out in the water and they happened to be a cute LDS family visiting from Utah. The Dad was awesome and played with Parker and the boys the entire time. An elderly lady was smitten with the baby and cornered me for a good 45 minutes talking and asking me questions. She was single, never married, no kids, and a retired psychologist so she was curious about babies and motherhood.
But then I went and hung out with "Utah Mom" and she was so cool! Rayleigh climbed right up into her lap and she just took over and played with her. We were kindred spirits for sure. It was a great afternoon and we stayed way longer than we planned!
Saturday morning we continued the house hunt. It's soooo hard! Ughhhhh. But hopefully we found something. We grabbed a bite to eat for lunch and then stopped at the Orange County Great Park on our way home. We have driven by the giant orange balloon sooooo many times and never visited! They were having a fun Halloween event and Parker was able to jump in the bounce houses and stuff. We didn't get to ride in the balloon but definitely added that to our bucket list.
Later that night we grabbed some Yogurtland for dinner and then Parker went to a fun birthday party for an old kindergarten school mate! Tanner and I wanted a lame movie while he was gone. But all in all we had a pretty awesome Saturday!
Sunday Tanner went to the 3rd ward and I went to the 2nd ward so that one of us could be here while the baby was napping. Later in the afternoon we went to the beach for about an hour. We went to Aliso and Parker was able to play on the playground for the first time. We'd never been to that side of the beach before but it was really nice and Parker had a blast. How cool is it to live so close to the beach that you can just pop over for an hour on a Sunday afternoon?
I love these fun family weekends we are blessed to share together! And hopefully we get a house soon!!! Finger's crossed we find something!
