Coastal Christmas Tree Tour

Our annual Christmas Tree Tour was so fun! Parker was able to get the day off of work so he could join us, which was an added bonus.
We started off the day bringing lemons to our neighbors. I didn't get a card made this year but that's ok. Everything costs money and I'm bummed about that fact. But we ran into a few of our sweet neighbors who gave us Nothing Bunt cakes and chocolates, too. So kind!
We started our tour at Crystal Cove with milk shakes. It was a beautiful day and we took a stroll along the beach to check out the new cottages that are being renovated. Hopefully we can book one this year!

We then stopped by the Laguna Beach Library and it was so cute to see how the fairies decorated for Christmas! The girls each received a note back from the fairies but Jack did not and he was sad (again). Poor kid keeps getting left out! We wrote some new notes and left them in the fairy mailbox before heading down to the Montage.
The Montage never disappointed and it was gorgeous. Jack was very enthralled with the piano and wanted to play it. He wasn't allowed to but the hired pianist played Golden Hour for us and Jack was stunned. He loved it! Montage built a cool lifeguard tower gingerbread house and we grabbed some hot apple cider and treats before walking around outside. Did I tell you it was a gorgeous day? Because it was!
We drove down to the Ritz and were a little sad that there was NO gingerbread house or sand house. But it was still really pretty inside and we liked walking around.

The best part of the day was walking along the San Clemente pier at sunset and taking photos by the tree there. So fun and so beautiful! By this time, everyone was getting hungry but our traditional dish of fettuccine from Augustos didn't happen because they apparently closed! So we took a minute and finally decided at the Brig at Dana Point Harbor.

The vibes were family friendly and we felt like we were in a Christmas movie where the oven breaks and the family needs to eat somewhere on Christmas eve. Everyone was happy and had full tummies as we walked around the Harbor.
We found the Giving Machines and by far the crowning moment of the day was giving to charity. Tanner donated polio vaccines, I donates a safe birth for a mother and baby, Parker and Ella both gave a "seal" comfort package to a child in the hospital, Rayleigh gave medicine for animals, and Jack gave a toy car kit to a child in need. It was such a great experience and I'm so thankful for the church and their brilliant ideas to help those in need.
We walked around the Harbor and enjoyed the lights before heading home.

Christmas Tree Tour day is always my favorite and I'm so thankful for my family who goes on adventures with me (big or small)!
