Follow the Star and CA Adventure

One day, we will all be able to sit reverently during sacrament meeting. But until then, we use the excuse that we are nursery leaders to take our kids in there and listen to the meeting while they play. I used to feel super guilty and like a failure and now I'm just owning it and embracing their childhood. Don't they look so happy and gorgeous? I love church at Christmas time!
Tanner went to work right after church but I was able to take the kids to one of our favorite traditions: Follow the Star. The live nativity and thousands of creche displayed help me teach my children the true meaning of Christmas and fill our hearts with the spirit. Jack sat next to me and said, "I'm so happy mommy!" I was able to help him recognize the spirit he was feeling in his heart. We met my family there and had a great time drinking hot chocolate and being together- even if it was just a short while.
The next day was our last day at Disneyland for the year- our passes are blocked until January. We had a total blast! Rayleigh LOVES Guardians of the Galaxy and we took fun pictures while Parker went on it "single rider". And Jack did Grizzly River Run with us and was so brave! We checked out the giant gingerbread house on our way out. Christmas time at Disney is so fun. We will miss it for a few weeks but there are so many festive things to do, so we will stay plenty busy!
