Work Weekend Away with Tanner

To say I was excited for a night away with Tanner would be an understatement. Ella is in a "poop everywhere" phase and one day, after she forced herself into the shower with me, she got out and pooped in the playroom which was covered with toys and blankets. So that was SUPER fun to clean up. Audrey and I made a deal to trade babysitting for a photography session and I told myself to say goodbye and not look back. I HATE leaving my kids but it's also impossible to take them to things like company parties so I had to chill and own the fact that I was blessed to get a night away. We met at my parents house, right after my ear appointment. (My ears are wacky but I'm getting a tube placed and had some physical therapy so that's good) We headed down to Dana Point, checked into our beautiful room and did a little yoga/relaxation to start. We were starving by 6pm and were the first ones to the party- only dinner didn't start until 7! Ugh! We devoured  finger food and mingled with his co workers and I was first in line for the buffet when we were led into the ballroom. We danced and received gifts and Tanner won a drone through the raffle. When the party was over, we walked around the harbor and admired all the lights. It was super romantic and just a perfect night!
The next morning we woke up and ate the most delicious breakfast buffet I've ever had- we sat over looking the ocean in the warm sunshine. It was so amazing that even the local sparrows wanted to join us! From there, we headed to the spa for massages and I even got a facial! It was heavenly and sooo relaxing! Being pampered is my jam!!!!! We checked out and headed home and then took the kids to the church for our ward Christmas party!
It was a "return to Bethlehem" theme and really nice! The kids got to talk to Santa, there was a petting zoo, and the gym was decorated to look like star light. The primary kids performed a little musical nativity which truly invited the spirit. It was a great way to end a beautiful day!
