O'ahu with O'hana Day 3

We woke up pretty early (9:00 CA time but we are already on Hawaiian time) and ate some breakfast quickly before heading to Pearl Habor. We had a sobering and humbling visit to the USS Arizona and learned more about the details of that fateful day. We were able to share with the kids some memories of Muzzie and her first husband Rondo who were stationed there just months before the attack on Pearl Harbor.
From there, we visited the Laie Temple and met with the sister missionaries in the visitors center and watched a cool video about the history of the church in Laie. Then we attended sacrament meeting which was uplifting and nice. We’d never taken the kids to church while on vacation but everyone came out feeling better for going. We grabbed lunch from a food truck (school bus) Oli Mike’s and chomped down on some shrimp and kalua pork. And then we grabbed shave ice at Matsumoto’s for dessert. We went back to the hotel and let the kids swim for about an hour and ended the night with a beautiful sunset, warm showers, and clean comfy beds.
