Tan and Chan's 15th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 15th anniversary all weekend long with a ton of super amazing experiences! Parker was rad and babysat a TON for us- he did great and he's amazing for being so willing and responsible.
We kicked off the weekend with a cooking class at Sur La Table in Newport. We learned how to make homemade pasta and ate 2 super delicious pasta dishes! We made a dessert which involved alcohol and it was humiliated when we asked very loudly what the liquid was and everyone stared at us like we were from a different planet. ha ha We were the oldest couple there- we felt like we were taking a college class, but everyone was adorable and so sweet.
When our tummies were full and our class was over, we headed to Crystal Cove to watch the sunset from the back of the van. I was prepared with tons of pillows and blankets and chocolate covered strawberries. We talked about the last 15 years and how our lives have completely come to fruition. We gained educations, moved 10 times, bought a beautiful home, started careers, and brought our 4 perfect children to earth. It's been a lot of hard work and a lot of sacrifice. We've had our fair share of trials and a tremendous amount of blessings and happy experiences. These next 15 years will undeniably be entertaining and memorable. Hopefully we will have in-laws and grandkids!
We have learned a lot about each other and ourselves, our strengths and talents, our vulnerabilities and priorities. We work hard and play hard, that's for sure! We have learned not to talk about anything (good or bad) when we are tired, but we love late night snacking, Tanner's a home body but I like to be out on a adventure. We value laughter and spiritual insight, quality over quantity and the pool is our happy place together as a family.
On Saturday, we ran a ton of errands and then had Parker babysit so we could have a fancy dinner at Flemings. We both ordered steak and date outside to enjoy the beautiful Spring evening. We got decadent milk shakes for dessert and were home in time to tuck our kids in bed. We like to snuggle down together at the end of the day, share our "highs" and "lows", and relax with some hilarious TV or medical drama.
I'm so proud of our 15 years and if we can double the amount of good times and amazing accomplishments in the next 15 years, we will be numbered as some of the luckiest people alive!!!!

Our actual anniversary fell on a Tuesday. Obviously Tanner had to work so Cami brought the kids over for a play date. We swam  and we fed the kids hot dogs for dinner. Tanner brought me dinner and treats and we were enjoying a nice evening when the power suddenly went out! It was off for about an hour which was quite dramatic. Never a dull moment!
