Cruise Day 2: Star of the Seas

Boarding the Ship- WOW!!! After a quick uber ride and a smooth check in, we boarded the boat and the excitement was palpable. We were in awe looking all around, finding a bite to eat, and soaking it all in. The ship is huge- largest in the world currently, and fabulous!  We toured the kids club, Adventure Ocean, and grabbed a bite to eat at the kid friendly eatery. Yummm. I think Jack had at least 8 ice cream cones. The only downside is that it is freezing. Like 34 degrees. The pools are closed and even some parts of the deck are starting to freeze. So what do you do when it’s freezing? You go ice skating of course! After our first fancy dinner, we took the kids to Absolute Zero for a quick round of skating and then ran over to our first show. It was the headliner, Chad, doing magic which the kids loved and we all thought was fantastic.

Earlier that day, after chowing some Mexican food, Tanner and the kids sat in the hot tub while I found the fitness center to enter a drawing for spa services. I didn’t win anything but I got Tanner and I a great deal on a 75 minute treatment. Another sad note was that it’s SO cold that we are not able to visit Coco Cay, the private island. We are not TOO disappointed because who wants to hang out at the beach or pool when it’s 50 degrees outside. The plan is to sail to warmer weather so everyone can enjoy the pools and water slides on board. Let’s hope it warms up!!
