Cruise Day 8: Last Day at Sea

Our last full day on Star of the Seas was relaxing and fun. We ate all the ice cream, crepes, and fancy dinner we could. The kids played at Adventure Ocean while Tanner and I went to Back to the Future Trivia. Ray did a lot of rock climbing (her favorite) Jack ate a lot of ice cream and played mini golf and mini soccer. Ella was brave and did karaoke singing Beautiful Things by Benson Boone and she nailed it! The audience was impressed and I was so proud of her! It was always fun to go to a show and have Tanner order a pina colada that we could share.

The kids went to Ocean Adventure one last time while Tanner and I went to the casino to use his gambling credit. He had $125 in fake money that he turned into $503 in REAL money! He was stoked! That gambling high hit Tanner hard and he was so happy! It’s like he felt successful or something. It was cool! We promised Ella that if he won over $500 we’d buy her a stuffed animal dog (Sailor who is the pet mascot for the ship) so he took her to buy that and I also got a cute Star of the Seas sweatshirt. We had dinner in the dining room one last time and almost everyone ordered steak. They really want you to eat ALL the things. They kept bringing our crab cakes and lobster and fruit even though we didn’t order any of it. We raced over to the rock climbing wall so Ray could compete in the speed challenge. She did really well but didn’t get 1st place. Now she’s excited to go back on a cruise and win that trophy! We saw dolphins swimming along the ship and I LOVED that! So magical!
It started to get cooler as the sun went down and we sailed north to Florida but Tanner and I hadn’t been on any water slides or pools. So we took advantage of the 45 minutes we had before the pools closed and did water slides with the kids and sat in the adults only infinity pool for a few minutes. We did it! The water slides were really fun and it was cute going down with Ella. The perfect way to end the trip.

We showered and changed and packed up. Thankfully we got some of our clothes laundered. We woke up early the next morning to grab one last all you can eat breakfast and say goodbye to the ship. We will miss the endless food and entertainment!
